Madinah ( My hometown)

Madinah is a historical sightseeing city. It is where prophet Muhammad(PBUH) died. he was buried in his own room which eventually became part of the Holy Mosque. Every year millions of Muslims visit the prophet grave and the Holy Mosque. There are many other activities to do in the city. For example, shopping for Islamic souvenirs and photos of the two Holy Mosques. Also you can visit the great mountain of Ahud, where one of the greatest battles in Islam took place. Or the grave yard which was dedicated to the honor of those who died protecting the city.

.In brief, one can learn a lot about the history of Islam by just visiting the city.

As the air is cooling down, and the weather is getting chillier. Saudi Arabia experience a unique event that only occurs about three to four times a year. The rain! For the past few days it have been raining and storming, it even hailed in some of the areas, and while some of the towns suffered from a loss of electricity the rest welcomed the rain which is a good sign for farmers. The rain indicates a good crop, full wells, and nice cool days to come. However the situation was reversed for a family who lost two kids in a most unfortunate event where an 18 years old girl and her 10 years old brother tried to cross the valley which was over flooded after the storm which lasted two days. Officials from the fire department in Madinah-West region, declared that they were able to locate and retrieve the body of the young girl. However they were unable to locate her brothers body. As the tides were very high they don't believe there is much hope that the boy have survived.

I ask all my classmates to take a few minutes to pray for these kids souls to rest in peace.
